In order to ensure transparency and a fair relationship between all the parties involved, it is important that farmers have a certificate that endorses their good economic, social and environmental practices. The current certificates do not contemplate certain factors that EthicHub considers of utmost importance.
They lack effective auditing mechanisms as regards the farmers we work with, and in some cases, they do not issue such certificates for these types of communities; we consider it is fundamental to still certify those who can’t get it done as easily.
For all of the reasons outlined above, EthicHub has decided to create its own certificate that encompasses and regroups all the requirements of the most recognized global certificates, and adds requirements that EthicHub considers essential. This certification initiative is completely in line with what we have created with our platform: inventive solutions for unsustainable realities.
